Man, oh, Man. Where has time gone?

I've been busy recently (who hasn't?) and kind of lost track of time. I couldn't tell you the last time I blogged. However, I have told myself several times I should sit down and blog about this or that. So, here's what's pertinent in my world right now. : )

I'm a Real Housewives of New York City fan. Not a huge fan, but I am a big enough fan that I clear my schedule as much as possible to be home at 10:00 on Tuesday nights so I can watch RHW as soon as it comes on. Here's my secret, though. I have my DVR set to automatically record RHW, so I wait until about 10:15 to start watching it. That way, I can fast-forward through all the commercials I could care less about. I want more drama! Not ads for Make Me a Supermodel (or whatever the name of that show is). I adore Bethenny. I love Luanne. I worship Jill. I kind of like Romona. And I absolutely despise and detest Alex and Kelly. Who is this Kelly chick? Where'd they find her??? I think she's actually more annoying to me than Alex, which is relatively hard to do in my book. I think Kelly and Alex are on par to be the type of people who name drop and glory-whore themselves out. Kelly doesn't get along with Bethenny, which I totally get. Bethenny is a Type A personality; very aware of who she is and what she wants and who she wants to be around. I'd rather shoot myself in the head repeatedly than hang out with Kelly for more than 30 seconds.

Of course, I feel this way about Alex, too. Where did she find that tool of a husband, anyway? When he starts to talk fashion, it makes me want to vomit. I hate that he has such a hand in what his wife wears. And half the time, I hate what they buy. One of the few outfits she's worn that I loved was the leopard print evening gown she bought on the last season of RHW of NYC.

Anyway. Enough of that. I needed to vent. Get it off my chest. I'm over it now.

I'm addicted to Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series. If you don't know already, this is the novel series the HBO show True Blood is based on. Sookie Stackhouse is a telepath that lives in Louisiana. Vampires have recently "come out of the closet" so to speak and the world is adjusting to having them in their midst. Japanese scientists (of course) have recently come up with a synthetic blood--True Blood--so vampires can drink that instead of living off of the blood of humans. Sookie is "dating" a vampire named Bill. Bill is a bit of an ass, but he's a vamp, so what can you do? Anyway, that's all I can give away right now without ruining what's set to happen down the road. But, either way, I love it. The 9th book in the series is slated to come out March 31. In 4 days. The 10th book is coming out sometime during the 1st week in May. I can't wait. I think I'm going to be like the Harry Potter and Twilight fans and camp out outside B&N until their doors open. Then again, maybe not.
